ブルーベルズ・スクール・インターナショナル 科学コンフルエンス・シンポジウム（BSI-SCS）2025

Real World Application of Science-Online 「科学の実社会での応用（オンライン）」

(India, Taiwan, Russia, Japan; 6 schools; approximately 25 students and teachers)

We participated in our first global online program for the R7 school year with one of our partner schools and a mentor for our school’s global programs, Bluebells School International (BSI). BSI hosted their Science Confluence Symposium that had 4 teams share their research and results in science. Some of the topics included The Physics of Yoga from India, Ecological Tourism in Russia, and The Mystery of Magnetic Pendulum from Taiwan, along with a couple of topics from the social sciences. All of the student presenters did a great job of expressing the background and process of their projects and experiments, and also sharing the connections to their culture. Omiya Kita High School’s role was to observe and give feedback this year. We are planning to have some of our students share their research in this event in the future. This was also a great opportunity to experience another style of using online platforms that we could possibly use in the development of our global programs. We thank BSI for inviting us to this event and will be sharing the recorded version with more of our students and staff.

本校は、今年度初めてのグローバル・オンライン・プログラムとして、提携校の一つであり、グローバルプログラムにおいて本校の指導的存在でもあるブルーベルズ・スクール・インターナショナル（BSI）の主催する「科学コンフルエンス・シンポジウム」に参加しました。
このシンポジウムでは、4つのチームがそれぞれの科学的研究とその成果を発表しました。インドの「ヨガの物理学」、ロシアの「エコロジカル・ツーリズム」、台湾の「磁気振り子の謎」などの自然科学のテーマのほか、社会科学に関する発表もいくつかありました。
発表した生徒たちは、それぞれの研究の背景や過程、文化とのつながりについて、とてもわかりやすく表現していました。

今年度は大宮北高校の役割として、発表の観覧とフィードバックを担当しましたが、将来的には本校の生徒も研究成果を発表できるよう準備を進めています。
また、今回のプログラムは、今後のグローバル活動の展開に活用できそうな新しいオンライン活用のスタイルを学ぶ貴重な機会にもなりました。
BSIの皆さんに心より感謝申し上げるとともに、当日の録画を今後さらに多くの生徒や教職員と共有していく予定です。
